Health and Wellness Workshops
Volunteering to facilitate a small-group workshop is a rewarding way to help improve the health of your community. We offer several evidence-based health and wellness programs. These programs have been proven effective to improve health outcomes. We offer programs throughout the 10-county metro Atlanta region, at locations such as senior centers, libraries, 55+ active living communities, and churches. Programs are also offered virtually through Zoom.
Most workshops are offered during weekday business hours, although occasionally we receive requests for nights and weekends. We compensate our volunteers with a small honorarium to cover travel expenses and time.
Volunteers must be able to attend all training sessions, commit to facilitating two workshop per year, and stay active for at least two years. Prospective volunteers must pass a fingerprint background check.
Please visit our HealthMatters Workshops page for full details on the current programs offered.
