

Overview
An interactive, small-group workshop for any older adult or adult with disabilities who
has a fear of falling, has fallen in the past, or is interested in improving flexibility, balance, and strength.
This program was developed to address and reduce the fear of falling and social isolation while
increasing activity levels and confidence among workshop participants, effectively reducing instances of
falls! Participants may participate seated or standing.
Learn the tools to manage concerns about falls that will empower YOU to Age Well and remain falls
free!
Over 8 weekly sessions, registered participants will learn to:
• View falls and fear of falling as controllable
• Engage in exercise to increase strength and
balance
• Set realistic goals for increasing activity and movement
• Change their environment to reduce their fall risk
factors
• Uses a home safety evaluation and action planner to
reduce fall risk hazards in the home and community
